Here is Shelly. She is a Caracter i have been trying to design for a comic i am writting. She also has a turtle named Jebuti (just a note: Jebuti is the South American Native word for land turtle). This is why you see a turtle quite often alongside her. I have differing ideas for the turtle. The turtle you see now is not the way i currently plan to have his final design. The turtle you see in the pictures all tend to be sea turtles, and in my story in its state i want Jebuti to be a land turtle.

You will notice the fact that i have evolved the design to currently reflect Shelly as having some sort of Native Indian style of clothing. I have long thought that there is much within Native folklore and legend that would be great for adapting into stories. Not to say that my story will be strictly about such things, but i would like to incorporate more of such aspects into my characters. The story will be very much a fantasy type of story and will not reflect any specific group within the Native American culture.
